Katie McKown (she, her)
Katie brings a warm, compassionate presence to her Reiki practice. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding people, supporting emotional wellbeing, and creating safe, respectful spaces for others. Her background shapes the way she approaches care—always with empathy, attentiveness, and a genuine appreciation for each person’s unique experience.
As a Level II Reiki Practitioner following the Usui Shiki Ryōhō lineage, Katie offers gentle, intuitive energy sessions designed to support relaxation and encourage the body’s natural ability to rebalance. She creates an environment where clients can slow down, breathe, and step away from the busyness of everyday life. While every individual’s experience is their own, her intention is always to hold space that feels grounding, soothing, and supportive.
Outside her practice, Katie finds renewal in the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time in nature, where she feels most connected and inspired. These experiences inform her approach to Reiki—reminding her of the value of stillness, presence, and letting healing unfold at its own pace.
